This class is a beginning introduction to oil painting and will teach how to set up a palette, use different brush types, color mixing, still life painting and introduction to landscape painting.

Thursdays, 7-9 pm January 16, 30, February 13, 27
Cost: $80 tuition + $80 supply fee
Supply Fee: includes 2 canvas boards, wood palette, 16 student grade paints, brush set, paint box, palette knife, use of gloves, paper towels, thinner, linseed oil shared across the class. If you would like to purchase your own supplies instead of paying the supply fee, please use the list below. (if you wish to upgrade your paint, look for Grumbacher, Gamblin or Winsor Newton)
**This class must prepay by January 10 to secure your spot so I can order supplies in time.
Still Life Study: We will be learning how to do a simple still life as a class to learn some basic paint mixing, composition, and value. 9x12 canvas
Winter Landscape: This is a fun winter landscape with a red barn and elements to compose your painting. We will be exploring composition, value, perspective and brush techniques.
