Just getting started here in Lake Point. There's a great variety of landscapes, houses and old cars to paint!
Ricks' pioneer home (SOLD)
Robbins' old car (SOLD)
Done in the fall, this painting was meant to capture the brilliant fall colors we saw that time of year on our beautiful mountains. This painting was given to my sister in law and brother in law for Christmas.
The following two paintings are examples painted for my oil painting class, ages 12 and up.
Stansbury Days 2012- Chalk Art
I enjoyed drawing chalk art again at Stansbury Days. This year I did Buzz Lightyear and an illusion of a hole in the cement with fish.
My Boys on the Beach, July 2012
City Shopping, April 2012
Ballerina, June 2012 (donated to Art Show Fundraiser for Tooele Women and Children's Shelter)
Rainbow Horses (1-2012)
I've been wanting to paint horses for Jaren since they are his favorite. I decided to try them in a contemporary style. It was fun and Jaren loves them. I'll have to get these framed for him.
Rainbow Horse Mother and Baby (1-2012)
Another fun painting! I was trying to be more abstract but landed with another contemporary style.
Venice Boats (12-2011)
Cactus Outcrop (12-2011)
This is the collection of old houses that I have done recently. Houses are always interesting to paint, especially when they are junky and falling down.
Green River Painting Trip, July 2011
I feel a great sense of energy when I am painting out in nature, especially in the desert.
My watercolors done on the trip: Double Arch
Book Cliffs in Green River
Goblin Valley mountain
Goblin Valley Hoodoos.
Stansbury Day Chalk Art! 2011
The finished picture of the girl blowing bubbles.
You can kind of see the bubble letters to the right in this one. It was also great advertising for art lessons!
The kids also joined in the chalk art contest.
They drew a great picture of a knight with fire in the background. They decided to use their hands for blending!
This is the dragon and "fire" letters that I did early in the morning. Overall it was really fun but next time I'm getting better knee pads. My knees are bruised up and my whole body is sore after 5 hours of kneeling!
