Art by the Sea!

The Teen classes did a fabulous job on these projects!

Teen Drawing Classes
Watercolor Pencil Lighthouse projects were actually just as much painting as drawing.  But the kids had to compose their own lighthouse seascape using photos and composition techniques.

These turned out really fun and again we used not only drawing techniques but painting as well this time.

 Graphite Ships
Imaginary or real, these drawings turned out incredible.  The students learned a lot with this lesson about perspective and shading.

Children's Fall 2017 Art Classes

Art By the Sea!
We painted, drew, sculpted all things having to do with the ocean. 

Watercolor Lighthouse Seascapes
We learned techniques on how to design an art composition and then techniques for painting with watercolors. Each child's Lighthouse Seascape is unique!

This was a lesson about how to draw different types of seashells and using foam, brayers and ink for printing.

A great lesson on mixing shades and tints of blues and greens.

Model Magic Sea Turtles
Crayola Model Magic is soft, sticky and dries in 24 hours. Perfect for making and painting Sea Turtles.  These ones are even on an ocean and sand background.

Treasure Maps
Using Oil pastels and watercolors, we learned how to draw map things like a compass, landmarks, danger areas, and how to make paper look old.

Watercolor Marker Pirate Ships
These Pirate ships were a fun drawing lesson and techniques using markers and water or watercolor markers.

Teen and Advanced Art Classes for Summer 2017

Summer 2017 Art was Amazing!!

Children's classes ages 4-12 curriculum was called "Art & Science Collide!"  We did all kinds of art that were science themed.  Some lessons were "Observe-Draw-Create" where the students observed different animals or science principles while creating the art.  Other projects were "Art Experiments" where we did an experiment in class first or the kids took home an experiment as part of their art project to try at home.  Here's a look at our projects:
